Opening batsman Noor Ali has been ruled out of Asian Games, starting tomorrow, and the Intercontinental final against Scotland which begins on 2nd December.
‘Tweeting’ on social networking site Twitter, Ali said he picked up a shoulder injury on the recent tour of Kenya which is preventing him from playing in Afghanistan’s upcoming games.
Ali, who scored a fifty in Afghanistan’s historic opening World T20 match against India, will be sorely missed as the team aim to pick up a medal in China and a trophy in Dubai.
UPDATE: Noor Ali Zadran has sent us a message today confirming about his injury and that he is performing Hajj right now. The exact message sent by Noor is:
I saw you put my twitter in website When I got injury Docter told me it will take least month than I admision in hj nd now I am in haj
Kindly wish him quick recovery and hope he can give his best once again once he has recovered from his injury and returns from Hajj.
