    1. He, I am 14 years old and I live in England. I am English but my mum runs a charity in Afghanistan. In the summer I am going up to Scotland to watch them play a test against Afghanistan and I would love to do a write up of the test itself but also with current issues in Afghanistan which relate to cricket. I am also trying to start my own website about Afghan cricket and stories about Afghanistan and how it ties into current issues and politics in Afghanistan. If you could email me on my adress. I know it might seem a bit stupid leting a 14 year old boy write for you but I just want to make a difference in life. Oh and by the way my mums website is http://www.afghanconnection.org.uk

Thanks everyone for the comments and appreciation. I would like to clarify that this is not the official website of Afghanistan Cricket but only a site created and maintained by fans and dedicated to the Afghanistan Cricket Team.

However, we have had the honour to be accepted as a partner site for the “Proud to be an Afghan” project supported by the Afghanistan Cricket Team members.

If you are also a fan of the Afghanistan Cricket Team and if you are interested in posting your views, opinions or other news related to the team then please feel free to register a new profile and share your views and opinions by posting new posts and articles in the website. 1. Zakir and Amanullah, we can’t help you I’m afraid.

If you have an account on Facebook, ask Raees Ahmadzai or Hamid Hassan about this. Or, go to a cricket club in Afghanistan and work your self up from there. That’s all I know.

  4. Hi
I am a provisional web developer and graphic designer.
I am doing my last year of degree in UK in web developing.
I like cricket as well. As I did my master in flash so I want you that
What is your idea if we work together in your website.

For me developing a web is not difficult at all but the only problem is I am very busy so cant work on text.

I am thinking if I work with you to make this website the first most favorites website in the world in the field of afghan cricket.
I can also take many sponsorship for that.

    Thanks.

    Will wait for your reply.

      Hi hussini,

Thanks for the offer. What type of work would you offer and what would you expect in return. As you could have made out this website is a non-profit website which I had created for fans of the Afghanistan cricket team to get news and updates. As you said you are too busy and cant work on text so I am not sure what else would you like to contribute. I dont think changing the whole website and rebuilding in flash would be right because this website is already an authority site in Afghanistan cricket and is ranked within the top 2 in most search engines for Afghanistan cricket. If you have any other idea then you are free to contribute.

  8. Test Status, lots of tests against top opposition, proper grounds and a proper doestic league should be started immediately. Also prize money for players should be increased and lots of multinational tournaments started.

Selling rights of these tournaments itself will bring a lot of revenue.

  10. Immediate test status only way to keep Cricket alive

Afghan Cricket is going downhill due to lack of Cricket. There is no propoer schedule, lots of gaps and no tv revenue generated.

Packed schedule against top countries and lots of multinational tournaments is only way to improve

      Hi Elizabeth,

I dont think the Afghanistan women’s team has been established till now. The Afghan girls have shown a lot of interest in cricket and MCC has organized a few camps for girls too if I remember correctly. But there is no official women’s team or players as of now in my opinion. However, I am just a fan of Afghanistan cricket and am in no way related to Afghanistan cricket or the country and so I may be incorrect. Here is the link of one such release on the lords website I saw last year.

  15. Hello,
I am an Australian based in Uruzgan. I am a video editor and involved in assisting Afghanis in Uruzgan.

I would like to do something that helps the Afghanistan youth in Uruzgan get involved in cricket as a sport. I was thinking of making a learning video that teaches the basics and also some modern day cricket heros, such as those that were brought up in the slums to find fame through cricket.

I can deploy the videos through the various army forward operating bases in Urusgan and youth can come in for training.

What do you think?. Do you have any material such as videos that you can send me to help?

    cheers
    Peter

Sorry for replying so late as I have been very busy. I am an Indian and I am not actively involved in Afghanistan cricket or its running. I am just the owner of this site who created the website so that Afghan cricket fans can share news and information about Afghanistan Cricket through this website.

        Hi Ahmadzai,

Thank you for the comment and appreciation. You have a great site too and I used to visit it often in the past when I had time. The writer from the UK was a student and perhaps he got busy with his studies again.

To be be frank, I hardly have any time to follow any cricket at all nowadays including my own country India. So, the website is not updated that frequently though Afghan fans expect us to provide the best information as it was the first and the top ranked site dedicated to Afghanistan cricket. If you know anyone who has got a good hold on English and would like to write posts in this website at least during matches etc. then please feel free to inform me. This is a non-profit site and so, there would not be any payment. But it is still the no.1 Afghansitan cricket site since the start even in Google and so, if Afghanistan cricket becomes quite big and I decide to make it a profitable site then I would be ready to share the profits with the writer. However, as of now I plan to continue it as a non-profit site at least for the next few years unless fortunes turn for Afghanistan cricket. Please feel free to send any such webmaster or writer my way if you find one. And if he/she is an Afghan then it would be even better as there would be a lot of passion and dedication also involved in the posts.

  18. Hi. My question is from admin of this website and i think you should know that and if you please tell me as well that:
The link “http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2015_Cricket_World_Cup” says that Scotland and Ireland already qualified for world cup 2015 based on “2011–13 ICC Intercontinental Cup One-Day”, my question is that how is that possible because still “2011–13 ICC Intercontinental Cup One-Day” is continue and there can be chance for Afghanistan to qualify.

    Thanks

Sorry for replying late. Except the test nations, I do not think anybody else has qualified. However, I am not an expert on this issue. Where did you see it mentioned that Scotland and Ireland have qualified? And there would be four teams except the full members. So, Afghanistan has a fair chance IMO. However, UAE and Ireland are also doing very well it seems.
