Afghanistan Youth Cricket Association (AYCA) have won the Ramadan Cup, after annihilating Pakistani club side A.O. Blues in the final.
AYCA won the toss and elected to bat. They were off to a fiery start, with Mohammad Shahzad effortlessly hitting boundaries around the Asghar Ali Shah Cricket Stadium in Karachi. Despite the wicket of his opening partner Javed Ahmadi, Shahzad continued his attack on the Blues’ bowlers, as he once again underlined his huge potential.
Shahzad eventually fell for an excellent 59 off just 41 balls; but late hitting from Asghar Stanikzai and Samiulllah Shenwari got AYCA up to 158-4 in 20 overs. It was a decent score against an attack including Pakistan international Naved-ul-Hasan.
Almost all hopes for the Blues vanished when Abdulllah carried on his good form by taking two wickets in the first over of the innings. One of the wickets was that of dangerman Imran Nazir, an international batsmen renowned for big-hitting.
A.O. Blues never recovered from the loss of early wickets as they stuttered to 97 all out in 18.1 overs. Hamid Hassan and Mohammad Nabi both picked up three wickets – Hassan took all his in a triple-wicket maiden.
Once the final wicket was taken, a huge pitch invasion full of thousands of Afghan fans took place. When all the fans were cleared AYCA picked up their trophy; they will also recieve a Suzuki car.
AYCA, who contained nine players from the Afghan national team, were impressive throughout and showed they were no match for Pakistan’s best club sides.
Wish u all the best M.Shahzad with your good batting abudull Mazari with best opening and and Hamed Hassan with three Wickets+median at the end thank from all AYCA team member and Congratulation for all this victory
